Pancake Tuesday Recipe Ideas
Ready for Pancake Tuesday? Try something new! You’ll love these delicious pancake recipes.
It’s pancake Tuesday! Growing up, I always looked forward to eating pancakes and sausage at our local church on Shrove Tuesday. I don’t know why, but those pancakes made from a box and the maple syrup (that had very little real maple) always tasted so good. As a grown up, not so much!
Now we stay home on Pancake Tuesday and make our own from scratch. We always mix it up, and today I’ll be making blueberry pancakes.
When it comes to pancake recipes, I usually modify depending on what we have on hand. Sometimes we have bananas to use up, sometimes we’re craving heartier buckwheat pancakes, and sometimes we’re in the mood for good old classic pancakes.
I really haven’t met a pancake I didn’t like. Feel the same way?

Perfect post for today! We love pancakes with homemade maple syrup from our maple tree in the backyard… tapping it has become a family tradition! Even our little wiener dog Emmitt gets into the spirit of things chasing the squirrels away from the sap!
You have your own maple tree that you get syrup from? That’s so cool. I bet it’s so delish. Happy pancake day!
Shauna we do the local church thing. Not for the pancakes as you say :) just for the community. I have a go-to multigrain pancake recipe too. What a smart idea to keep the dry mix on hand.
I think that’s really the part I liked best as a kid too. We had a small church and it was a great group of people. Enjoy!
Hi Shauna, How did I completely miss Pancake Tuesday? I love pancakes. I cooked oatmeal this morning. Your recipes look wonderful. I also love the idea of a mix ready to go.
I love Pancakes and the pancakes in a jar is a great idea! Thanks for sharing. #SITSBlogging
Hooray for butter over canola oil. We do breakfast for dinner about once a week. I’m a master at gluten-free breakfasts now. :)

No canola oil in our house and we do tend to eat gluten free, but sometimes a slice of whole grain bread or a few pancakes are a treat.
