Ideas for Repurposing an Old Dresser
You’ll love these beautiful and clever ideas for repurposing an old dresser. Add storage and character to a space without spending a bunch.
Earlier this fall, I acquired a beautiful antique dresser that’s been sitting in our garage waiting for some TLC. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen the dresser’s gorgeous detailing and character. You may have also noticed the dings and scratches that require some pretty hefty sanding and, most likely, a painted finish.
The top drawer has all kinds of compartments, making it the perfect storage solution for samples, supplies and more in my home office. The bottom two drawers will be good for hiding away project materials that seem to clutter up my desk (I’m hoping!).
How to Repurpose an Old Dresser
While looking for inspiration for making over my dresser, I came across so many clever ideas for repurposing a piece like this. I find old dressers are a great way to add character to a space without spending a lot of money. Plus, they’re usually a lot sturdier than what’s built nowadays.
