Two weeks ago I wrote about all the problems I have with my front entrance and many of you could relate. In fact, after sharing my dreadful entryway, I received an email asking if I would share some tips for organizing and beautifying a front entrance. Since I’m currently working on the plans and sourcing for my own transformation, I thought I’d share the process I’m going through and break it down into 6 steps.
First off, I must share this entryway I spotted on Pinterest as inspiration. So fresh and inviting, isn’t it? Definitely a look I’m going for!
Purge anything you no longer use and store occasional or seasonal items elsewhere.
Provide storage baskets and/or hooks for each family member.
Apply soft colored paint or wallpaper to freshen up the walls.
Replace lack-lustre builder light fixtures with an interesting style, such as pendants or hurricane lanterns.
Choose an area rug for design and function.
Add a small table, bench or stool if the space allows. Hang a mirror and/or artwork and accessorize.
Have you done anything to update your front entrance lately? Do you have any tips for creating a welcoming space?
Have a bright and sunny day!
