Striped Floral Wallpapers + Our Powder Room Update
Looking for wallpaper inspiration? I’m sharing my favourite striped floral patterns, along with tips and ideas for adding texture, style, and personality to small spaces—including our powder room!

Why Striped Florals Are Worth Considering
If you’ve been thinking about adding wallpaper to your home and want something timeless and playful, striped florals might be your new favourite. They bring texture, charm, and personality without feeling too busy or overwhelming.
I love how they’re:
- A little vintage, a little English cottage, and a little tailored
- Perfect for small spaces like powder rooms, guest bathrooms, or even a small bedroom
- Flexible enough to pair with soft neutrals or pops of colour

My Current Wallpaper Picks
I rounded up some of my favourite striped floral patterns for inspiration.

Tip: Always order a sample first. Colours and scale can look very different in your space depending on lighting.
Here’s what I love about these wallpaper prints and what to look for when choosing one for your own space:
Soft and Muted Colours
Gentle, muted colours work beautifully in small spaces or rooms that need a subtle touch of texture.
Small or Medium-Scale Patterns
These sizes strike the perfect balance. They’re visible enough to add personality, yet subtle enough to keep the space serene and inviting.
Classic and Timeless
Stripes feel effortlessly sophisticated, adding depth and layering to any room while providing a subtle, stylish backdrop for your other decor.
Wallpaper Textures and Formats
Some of these wallpapers are available in different textures, such as smooth vinyl or grasscloth. In many cases, you can select the installation format that works best for your space, including peel-and-stick, pre-pasted, or non-pasted.
These are all fantastic wallpaper ideas for small spaces!
Tip: Mixing different wallpaper patterns in your home? Try combining varied scales and textures within a similar muted colour palette for a layered, harmonious look.
Our Powder Room Update
Honestly, our powder room looked fine without wallpaper. However, I had always pictured this space with some pattern on the walls. It was a feature we loved in our last home.

The botanical stripe wallpaper brings just the right amount of texture and charm, keeping the space light and balanced. I love how the brass pendant pops against the subtle green print.

Where Else to Use This Wallpaper in Your Home
Striped floral wallpaper isn’t just for powder rooms. Here are some other ideas:
- Small Bathrooms
- Bedrooms and Reading Nooks
- Entryways and Hallways
- Closets, Pantries, and Butler’s Pantries
- Home Offices and Shelves
Consider Coordinating Your Trim, Doors, and Ceiling
For a truly polished look, think beyond just the walls. Matching or complementing your trim, door, and ceiling paint with your wallpaper can make a space feel cohesive and intentional.
- Trim and Doors: Picking a paint colour from the wallpaper’s palette creates a seamless, custom look.
- Ceiling: A soft coordinating hue on the ceiling can tie the room together and make small spaces feel thoughtfully designed.
- Wainscotting or Panel Moulding: Adding wainscotting or panel moulding to the lower portion of the walls, with wallpapering above, can give your space extra dimension and depth.
- Balance: If your wallpaper is busy or highly patterned, sticking to neutral or subtle tones for trim and ceilings keeps the look balanced.
Tip: Even a subtle shift in white, like a warmer or brighter tone, can make a big difference in how your wallpaper feels in the room.
