Dressing Rooms On My Mind
Dressing rooms cross your mind when you think about designing your dream home? You may consider one after checking out these beautiful spaces!
My sister and I were talking about the huge lottery last week and what would happen if one of us actually won it. I think it’s difficult to say what I’d really do given that circumstance, but I started thinking about the house we would build.
It’s been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember to create a home from the ground up. Sometimes the amount of work it will take frightens me, but as with any other big project I’ve taken on in my life, I know I’ll get through it step by step.
One thing I hadn’t considered until quite recently was including a dressing room. I’ve seen many gorgeous closets over the years, but having a large room/area dedicated to getting ready is very appealing to me, and possibly worth the splurge.
Dressing Rooms
Check out this gorgeous dressing room design by Mimosa Lane. I love how she styled the open shelves to pretty up the space even more.
This cheery dressing room with bold stripes spotted on Style at Home is also fresh and pretty. I adore the mix of storage and function with decorative elements.

Shauna, I love the idea of a dressing room. I actually nannied for a family that owned a gorgeous home built in the early 1930’s which included many things like a huge butler’s pantry, a library and of course a dressing room. The dressing room was very light and airy, I just loved that room. I say go for it, if you decide to build.

That home sounds amazing! I’m noticing in many show homes now that they’re including a butler’s pantry and the master bedroom closets are looking more like dressing rooms instead of the typical utilitarian look.
Oh, it was amazing. I could go on about this home. I’ve been lucky enough to be surrounded by homes that were impeccable in architecture and design like this one. This house even had a secret room for their twin boys which had a telescope in it and get this, a gift wrapping room. It was to die for.
Oh. a dressing room is definitely high on my priority list! And a lot of new shoes and clothes to fill it!
You’re totally reading my mind!
What beautiful closets! I agree with Jean, dressing room straight to my priority list.
I would love to have a dressing/office room! Like my little women cave of fabulousness! love the pics… when you win the lottery will you add a room on for me?
That’s my dream! To have a dressing room. They are just so pretty and fun!
In my dreams for sure! Pretty inspiration, Shauna!
