Chic Halloween Decorating Ideas
Started decorating for Halloween yet? Here are some chic and stylish ways to add a bit of Halloween fun to your space. Time to get crafty!
We were walking through the grocery store the other day when my husband asked if I’d picked up Halloween candy yet. Right, Halloween…
As some of you already know, I’m not much of a Halloween person. Sure, the wee ones dressed up in their costumes are adorable, not to mention the tasty mini chocolate bars (are they getting smaller or is just me?). However, the tacky decor really isn’t my thing. I tend to dig out my small stash of Halloween decor the afternoon of October 31st just before the kids start to arrive. Halloween bah humbug, that’s me!
But, this year, I’m coming around to the idea of putting in a little more effort. Recently, some of my blogger friends have shown me that Halloween decorations don’t need to be tacky or cheap looking, or downright gross. They can actually be quite tasteful and chic, and maybe even pretty.
I have to admit, I’m quite inspired after looking around. If you’re anything like me, I think these ideas will get your creative juices flowing too. So, go ahead and check out these chic Halloween decorating ideas and pick one or two to try. I mean, why not? Let’s take a drink of the Halloween (crafting) Kool-Aid together, shall we? Bottoms up!

I love this Classic Black and White Halloween Mantel my friend Jamie from So Much Better with Age put together. The white baby boo pumpkins keep it looking fresh, while the black adds a bit of spookiness and drama.
How fun are these Stacked Pumpkin Cloches by my friend Lucy of Craftberry Bush?! The pop of orange gives the feeling of Halloween, while still being tasteful.
This Printable Halloween Banner by Carina Gardner is a nice touch to add to a mantel or front porch. If you’re hosting a party, hang it from the food or beverage table.
These Potion Bottles by A Pumpkin and A Princess scream Halloween. I love these apothecary style bottles that could also be used for candy or condiments at a party too.
The simple repetition of white pumpkins and bats makes this Halloween Living Room Decor by Thrifty and Chic so modern. That spooky owl on the mantel is perfect too!
My friend Jen from Tatertots and Jello did an amazing job putting this Spooky Plate Wall together. I love the mix of shapes and patterns done in striking black and white!
These Mud Cloth Painted Pumpkins by Homey Oh My are so pretty. I’d love to see them grouped on a front porch, mantel or dining table.
I love the mix of old and new materials used to create this Spooky Crow Mantel. Lucy from Craftberry Bush always creates the most beautiful vignettes!
These Spooky Crystal Ball Candlesticks by Flamingo Toes were inspired by Disney’s Haunted Mansion. The floating images inside the glass balls look so realistic and eerie!
