I’m very happy to be introducing my newest sponsor, TG Bears. Who doesn’t love a teddy bear? Created by Monica Collins from her long-standing love for teddy bears, each one is handmade with love, fashioned with affection and hugged when completed. By nature of being handmade, each bear has a slightly different “something” about it, making no two exactly identical in features and expression.
The bear family (as Monica calls it) started with a classic teddy called Theodore. Since then, the family has grown to include varieties of the classic, as well as several specialty bears and custom options.
As you know, handmade and personalized items always catch my attention and the thought of giving one of these bears to a newborn makes me happy!
Or what about a Valentine’s gift for your daughter or grandchild? Each bear can be embroidered with a name and a “growl” can be added for fun. Imagine how exciting it would be to receive a bear made specially for you!
What I adore most about TG Bears is their “Person of the Month” feature where someone is nominated to receive a free bear. For instance, if you know someone who spends a lot of time helping others or a child who is battling an illness, you can give your nomination. TG members (anyone can join) vote for the person they believe is the most deserving.
December’s winner was April who “has devoted her time and resources in making items to sell on her eight year old sister’s Etsy shop which supports Angels4Epilepsy. April makes things like tutu’s, blankets and baked goods with proceeds directly benefiting Angels4Epilepsy. April also participates and actively leads efforts to deliver gift bags to children in Georgia.” Sounds like a deserving winner to me!
TG Bears also supports Angels4Epilepsy. Find out how you can also help out this special cause here.
This year, TG Bears will be represented at the Oscar’s Gift Lounge. In 2011, TG Bears were sent to Hilary Duff, Jessica Alba and Cari Cucksey.
I encourage you to check out TG Bears and see Monica’s other creations. Perhaps you have a special event coming up or have an idea for a custom bear. To keep up with the latest news, you can also find TG Bears on Facebook and Twitter and of course, the button is on the sidebar to the right.
