With Canadian Thanksgiving next weekend, I can’t help but think about everything I’m grateful for. For starters, I have the most supportive husband and son I could ever ask for! They both put up with project messes all over the house, weigh in on fabric and paint color choices (even after I’ve asked them 2 times already), pull jeans out of the hamper (after I forgot to throw in a load that day), and eat scrambled eggs and toast for supper (at least once a week). They embrace living with someone who NEEDS to create.
On the flip side, they do get to eat things like caramel apples, watch football in the basement family room, and tag along on a blogging conference. All perks of what I do, but something tells the best part for them is seeing how excited I get over the simplest things like new paint brushes arriving at our door or finding that perfect dish at Value Village to shoot a piece of pie on. It’s loving what you do that’s inspirational to others, right?
Today, I’m also very thankful for my sponsors. They support my projects, posts, blog expenses and time (that’s a biggie!). They help keep things movin’ along and are, in part, the reason I don’t have to go out and get a “real” job. I’m truly grateful for that!

Bloggers & Brands is a 112 page PDF ebook, written by my friend Shannon from AKA Design, that will show you how to find the right contacts, craft a killer one page pitch and WOW brands to keep them coming back for more! Working with brands is a hot topic these days. BUT there is a perception that initiating and building relationships with brands is a lot harder than it actually is.
