Happy 2018! I love the feeling a new year brings. You? I see it as a fresh clean slate with a world of possibilities ahead. I wonder what this year will bring?

As with most years, 2017 had its share of amazing moments, as well as challenging times. Whether perceived as good or bad, there’s always some kind of take-away in any situation. That’s if I allow myself to see it, I guess.

Reflection is definitely a powerful tool. Sometimes I surprise myself with how much I’ve accomplished in a particular year. Other times, I see how I’ve pulled back instead to heal and nurture. I’ve learned with each passing year to look kindly at both instead of beating myself up if I fall short. Life is about ebbs and flows, and we need both to stay in balance. I’ll continue to work on that.

With that in mind, what can you expect to see here in 2018? After taking a break from major renovations, we’re ready to tackle our second floor. I haven’t decided if we’ll start with our master bedroom and ensuite (bigger project) or ease in with my home office. We’re also moving forward with our plans to find or build a new house (more likely later in the year). I’ll also be turning my love of thrifting into a side business. Until then, I thought it would be fun to take a look back and share the blog posts that got the most love and attention in 2017. I find it so interesting to see what resonates with you and, quite often, they’re my favourites too!

Here they are in reverse order…

Was one of your favourite home projects or recipes included? If not, I’d love for you to share it in the comments!

I’d also appreciate any shares on social media (buttons at bottom of post). Extra brownie points for PINS!

Usually an Outdoor Extravaganza project or two make the list, but they were just short this year. This “Grow a Tomato Sauce Garden” Gift Basket was fun to put together!

Another highlight from this year was attending Haven Conference in Atlanta, as well as having my vintage Christmas gift tags included in A Somerset Holiday magazine.

Of course, I have to thank my blogging friends who were my top 10 referrers for 2017. I’m so grateful to have the support of these lovely gals, as well as many others who continue to lift me up each and every day!
