Design Client Project Updates & More

How’s your week going? It’s been busy around here with new design projects on the go, as well as a couple others that are almost wrapped up. Both parts of the process are exciting, but I get the most satisfaction when clients are finally able to enjoy their newly finished spaces.

I’ll be sharing a few update photos soon, including those custom made purple chairs my clients so daringly went with. I had my fingers crossed they’d love them, and when I got a sweet tweet on Thursday, I was both happy and relieved!

For now I thought I’d show you a sneak peek of my latest design project. It’s a new home that’s currently in the drywall stage. From what I can see so far, it’s going to be gorgeous!

I’ve been called in to develop space plans for many of the rooms, as well as sourcing a good portion of the furnishings. I can already tell that we’re on the same page with many of the ideas, and I can see this project being very rewarding.

The other excitement I had this past week was my niece and nephew visiting from California. We had a blast hanging out, shopping, going to the park, and working on some projects. My niece reminds me of myself when I was her age as she likes to bake, create art, and look through show homes (not the typical activities for an 11 year old!). My nephew just likes to be wherever the action is, and is so witty and comical.

What’s going on in your world? Super busy or are things a little more laid back?

See you soon!

    1. I don’t recall why he had his shirt off. He’s always moving around, so I’m sure he was getting hot (at least he has a nice tan to show off unlike the rest of us!).

  1. My world has been full of fun lately! I took in an awesome estate sale on Friday, and then we accepted an impromptu invitation to spend Saturday night in Ucluelet. Sunday finally saw me out in the yard tugging at the weeds, and last night we entertained 10 guests to a sit down plated up meal. So today… well, I’m trying to catch up and get my feet under me! The sun is shining brightly, and I’m dying to get back out in the yard to finish up the weeding so the creative part can begin, but here I sit, catching up on blogs, email, and all the paperwork kind of things!

    1. Busy gal, but sounds like my kind of weekend! Hope you get through the weeds quickly so you can move on to the fun stuff (we’d love to have you at the Outdoor Extravaganza!).

  2. That house looks like it’s going to be adorable! I’m at my usual stress level, which is crazy busy. I wish I could say it was with something creative and/or design related, but just with the regular kids stuff and a super long work week. I think it’s time to remind my boss I’m a part-time employee, lol.

  3. I’m sure your work there in that beautiful home will turn out gorgeous! Looks like you are enjoying your busy time too – that’s GOOD!

  4. I can’t wait until my nephews are a little bit older (under 4 at present) so we can ramp up the stuff we can do with them. Excited to see what you do with the new build. I had trouble seeing past the builder basics with my first new-build home.

  5. I’m with Cynthia, I am dieing to see those purple chairs! Your posts really do light up when you talk about family, it’s really sweet that you share that! I personally love it! Oh and not to mention your style, that’s up there too for me! ;)

  6. Can’t wait to see the purple chairs and the rest of your client’s space!  I bet you got in lots of cuddles with your super darling niece and nephew too!

  7. Can’t wait to see the purple chairs! You niece and nephew are gorgeous, enjoy the visit!
