Sabrina (2)

Hey all, Sabrina from Pink Little Notebook here!

Today, I’m so excited to share my top pick for Designer Challenge: Which Sofa (part two). There is nothing I love more than decorating a room and putting my own spin on it so when Shauna presented these three options, I nearly died. How beautiful are these sofas?! (sources here)

When it came down to choosing from these three options, I was stumped. Deep down, I’m a vintage-type gal and naturally I’m drawn to tufted sofas but that Montauk Emmanuella sofa (option 3)—O.M.G. I’m in love with the gorgeous curves and the lushness of the cushions. It’s the type of sofa you just want to make yourself comfortable in. So yes, Montauk Emmanuella, you won me over.

I immediately began envisioning a well designed, elegant room. Something fun yet comfortable. Something old but modern. Something soft but bold. I’m definitely all over the place when it comes to styles. That’s why I love mixing a little of bit of everything. Here is what I came up with.

Designer Challenge: Which Sofa? {Part One}

Welcome to another edition of the Designer Challenge! It’s been a while since we’ve seen a room designed around a piece, and this time it’s all about sofas!

Today, I have the lovely Alicia from Keep It Beautiful Designs here. Alicia and her husband are currently renovating their 1920′s home in Ottawa, Ontario. Be sure to check out the impressive before and after photos of the front hall, living room, dining room and more. So gorgeous!

Let’s take a look at the 3 sofa options I selected for this challenge and what Alicia did with one of them…

Alicia- Keep It BeautifulHi everyone! I’m Alicia, an Interior Decorator, mom of 3 kids and married to Mr. Fix-It. I love a good home design challenge and believe that all spaces, big or small can be beautiful. I’m thrilled to be part of Shauna’s Designer Challenge and had a great time coming up with this room.

I was given these three couches to choose from. They’re all beautiful, it was a tough decision!

1. Charleston Sofa - ZGallerie
2. Sabine – Room&Board
3. Emmanuelle – Montauk Sofa
I chose the Charleston Sofa from ZGallerie and just love it! The clean lines, tufted back, nailhead trim is oh-so-fabulous. It looks comfortable and is so glam at the same time.

Designer Challenge: Which Desk? {Part Two}

Welcome to Part Two of the Designer Challenge- desk edition! I’m happy to welcome Tazim of Love Snap Make, an inspirational blog where you can expect to find furniture and accessory DIY projects, strange and interesting IKEA products, furniture and interior design store tours, tips and ideas for achieving your design style, and more. I can’t wait for you to see what she came up with! (If you missed Part One, you can find out what the desk options were and what Annie did here.)
TazimHi, I’m so pleased that Shauna asked me to join her for this challenge! My name is Tazim and I’m a décor and DIY blogger from Vancouver. I like putting together looks that are, of course, aesthetically pleasing, but also practical at the same time. My apartment is mostly neutral on top of neutral, though I do love bright colours.

When Shauna showed me the office desks she had in mind for this challenge, I immediately knew that I was choosing the bright pink desk. While I think it’s important to have an office that’s functional and well-organized so that you can be the most productive, I also think it’s highly motivating to have a fun, beautiful space to work in.

Designer Challenge: Which Desk? {Part One}

I’m excited to bring you another installment of this fun and popular series. This time I presented three desk options and asked each designer to select her favorite and tell us what she’d do with it. First up, I’m happy to introduce Annie from Annie Vincent Interiors. Annie and I connected through a designer group a few months back, and I immediately took notice of her beautiful design boards. With a talented eye for design and color, I couldn’t wait to see what she would come up with for this round of the designer challenge!

Designer Challenge: Which Headboard? {Part Two}

Welcome to Part Two of the Designer Challenge- headboard edition! I’m thrilled to welcome Brooke of Brooklyn Berry Designs. Although Brooke and I live in the same neck of the woods, we haven’t met in person, but I can tell we’d have a lot to talk about over coffee (on my list for the new year!). Brooke’s blog is an online journal where she shares ideas and inspiration for creating a safe, warm and welcoming place, as well as dishing out her take on books (also know as her “me” time away from the kids). I can’t wait for you to see what she came up with! (If you missed Part One, you can find out what the headboard options were and what Rita did here.)

I’m Brooke, an Interior Designer and mom to 3 boys, including a set of crazy twins. I love a good challenge, whether it be a small budget or a quirky architectural feature, because it always creates a unique solution.

For Shauna’s designer challenge, I decided to take a step out of my comfort zone and design around the headboard that was beautiful, but made me nervous. I figured since this was just for fun, I could venture out of my comfort zone. It was really fun!
