Designer Challenge: Which Console Table? {Part One}

Which console table would you choose? Come check out the sophisticated entryway Arianna put together for this edition of the Designer Challenge!

A few months ago, I started the Designer Challenge series and it has definitely become a favorite with Satori readers. I’m thrilled because I love interacting with amazing design bloggers and sharing their talent with you! This time I presented three gorgeous options for a console table and asked each designer to select her favorite and tell us what she’d do with it. First up, I’m excited to introduce Arianna of Arianna Belle.

Those of you who have been following my blog since day one know that I’ve had a long-standing admiration for Arianna. In fact, she is one of the people who inspired me to start my blog. Arianna and I share a passion for organization and her website is filled with beautifully organized spaces, stunning decor, stylish storage, and lovely inspiration.

Hello everyone! This post was so fun to put together -thank you Shauna for inviting me to participate! In this challenge, I was given three different console table options to select from.

Console Table Options

First up was the Long Wooden European Console from Wisteria.

The second option was Zinc Door’s Ro Sham Beaux Circle Console.

And, finally, the third option was the Upcycled Mahogany Chest on Etsy (note- this item is no longer available).

I decided to go with the Ro Sham Beaux Circle Console. I love its clean lines and combination of dark rustic wood and steel.

I’d use this metallic console table in an entryway, with two ottomans placed underneath for added functionality. I love these ones from Ballard Designs for their beautiful nailhead edges.

They open up so they can be used to secretly store a number of items. Above the console, I’d hang a mirror on the wall for that essential quick “check” we all make before dashing out the door. This round mirror from ZGallerie relates beautifully to the lines of the console’s decorative details.

I’d paint the walls a sophisticated medium grey, and choose a modern graphic rug with complementary pops of yellow.

Bright fresh blooms, a reeded glass lamp, and lacquered boxes would add the finishing touches to the space.

Thanks Arianna! I can just picture this beautiful vignette by the front door. I love the balance between making a statement and the practical features you’ve built in!

What do you think? Which console would you choose and what would you do with it?

Come back tomorrow to see which console table Jean chose and what she did with it. It’s impressive!
